The village of Millerton has reopened the composting toilets located in the center of the village and on the Harlem Valley Rail Trail, near the Irondale Schoolhouse. Please remember to wear your mask or face covering at all times and while using the facilities.
The toilets will be open every morning until the fall season. They are locked at dusk for the evening and reopened after they have been cleaned in the mornings.
If you have any questions regarding this facility, email clerk@villageofmillerton.com or call the Village Hall at 518-789-4489.
We’re excited to see progress being made on the Harlem Valley Rail Trail next to the Irondale Schoolhouse! This photo was taken by board President Ralph Fedele.
As our ad in the May issue of Main Street Magazine states: “We look forward to the day when we will open our doors, ring our bell and welcome you to our historic 1858 one-room schoolhouse again.”
Until then, stay safe and be well.
The latest oil paintings by award-winning artist Robert Patrick Coombs will be exhibited at the schoolhouse on Saturday, Oct. 12, from noon to 6 p.m. as part of Millerton’s village-wide Fall for Art festival.
Light refreshments will be served.
